Tuition does not cover the full cost of educating our students so we greatly appreciate the support of our parents, alumni, and friends through charitable contributions.  Charitable contributions help support scholarships for deserving students, property improvements, equipment and technology purchases, and provide support for the many other programs that we offer. Shiloh Hills Christian School strives to partner with its parents to provide a well-balanced and Biblically-based quality education that will help to mold and equip young people with the right tools to follow Christ in the world in which we live.

gcss_logoGeorgia Education Expense Credit

In 2008, the Georgia General Assembly passed legislation which allows Georgia taxpayers (individuals, businesses, and corporations) to redirect a portion of their tax dollars to Student Scholarship Organizations (SSO’s). Our school has partnered with the SSO, Faith First GA., Inc., a 501 (c ) (3) non-profit charitable corporation. Faith First GA., Inc. only partners with private Christian schools. After you receive your Georgia preapproval form IT-QEE-TP1 back in the mail, you are ready to make your contribution to Faith First GA, Inc. As a result of contributing to Faith First GA, Inc. taxpayers are allowed by law to take a tax credit (dollar for dollar) deduction off their Georgia state tax liability. You now have a choice in how your tax dollars are spent! When you contribute to Faith First GA, you cannot designate a particular student but you can designate Shiloh Hills Christian School. These scholarship funds can be used for incoming Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade students, and students transferring from a public school. Shiloh Hills Christian School awards these scholarship funds to qualified students whose families have applied for financial assistance.

There is a $58 million cap on the Georgia Education Expense Credit. Applicants are approved on a first come first served basis. The cap is expected to be met as early as January 1, so get your approval form into Faith First GA, Inc., or directly into the State as soon as possible. Please follow the donation process and file your form by visiting Faith First GA’s website at www.faithfirstga.org and click the donor link. When your IT-QEE-TP1 form is received by the State, they will verify that the $58 million cap hasn’t been met yet, and then will send you back an approval letter within 30 days. You will then have 60 days to send your contribution into Faith First GA, Inc. You can also bring your form by the school office, and we will forward it for you.

CONTRIBUTION LIMITS:

The limits for contributions are $1,000 for single or head of household taxpayers, and $2,500 for married couples filing jointly. S-Corps, LLCs, LLPs, and PCs can contribute up to the actual amount expended or $10,000 whichever is less. C-corporations that pay Georgia taxes are allowed a credit not to exceed the lesser of the actual amount expended or 75% of the corporation’s income tax liability for the tax year.

Financial Aid Fund

Financial aid funds are used to help deserving students whose families have applied for and met the criteria for aid.  Charitable contributions to help fund financial aid are needed more than ever and greatly appreciated by SHCS.

Matching Gifts

Many companies match the charitable giving of their employees.  When you make a gift please check with your company to find out if your employer will match your gift to SHCS.

Memorial & Honorary Gifts

Giving to SHCS in memory of a deceased individual or in honor of a loved one is a wonderful way to celebrate the life lived of that individual in a meaningful way.  We will notify the family that a memorial or honorary gift has been made.
